I am a geologist with a lifelong passion for Earth sciences. During my academic journey, I developed a strong interest in geotechnics and natural hazards such as landslides and floods, which are now the main themes of my research. I earned my B.Sc. in Geological Sciences in 2018 from the University of Florence, with a thesis titled "Evaluation of the Accuracy of 3D Laser Scanner Surveys in Identifying Discontinuities through Comparison with Detailed Geological-Structural Surveys." Building on this foundation, I completed my M.Sc. in Geological Sciences and Technologies in 2021, presenting a thesis titled "Experimentation of Low-Cost GNSS Networks for Landslide Monitoring," which deepened my focus on monitoring natural hazards. In 2022, I was awarded a research fellowship titled "National data collection for correlation analysis between hydro-geomorphological risk indicators and economic indicators." This experience paved the way for my Ph.D. project, " Analysis of the interactions between hydro-geomorphological risks and anthropic environment", focusing on the relationships between natural disasters, soil sealing, and urbanization to better understand territorial policies. During my Ph.D., I had the opportunity to carry out part of my research at the British Geological Survey in Nottingham, UK, expanding my research by comparing Italian and British case studies to highlight similarities and differences in natural risks and responses.
