Martina Rosa Galione

I am a geologist. My great interest in geology processes, since a very young age, inspired me to enroll in the Bachelor's degree in Geological Sciences at the University of Pisa in 2015, completed in 2019.
In 2022 I earned my Master's degree in Geological Sciences and Technologies with a thesis titled "Study of volatile content in Aeolian basaltic magmas: examples from Vulcano and Stromboli". My research interests are focused mainly on georesources, geothermal energy, critical raw materials, and ore bodies. After my Master's degree I had the opportunity to win a Research Fellowship at the CNR-IGG (Pisa), with a project titled "Collection, classification, organisation and implementation of a geo-technical data database". Since November 2024 I am a PhD student at the University of Florence, working on a project focused on analyzing the antimony mining district in Southern Tuscany.

PhD Research project: "Characteristics and genesis of antimony mineralisation and associated critical raw materials in southern Tuscany in the context of energy transition".

Tutor: Dott.ssa Valentina Rimondi (UniFi)

Co-tutors: Dott. Eugenio Trumpy and Dott. Simone Vezzoni (CNR-IGG,Pisa)
