I have always been fascinated by nature, especially rock morphology, fossils and minerals. Indeed, when I was a child, I used to collect small rocks in my pockets when hiking in the mountains. That is the reason why after school I enrolled in the Geology bachelor’s degree course at the University G. d’Annunzio of Chieti. Fascinated by the power of volcanoes, I decided to move to Florence where I had the possibility to approach to their study. During my master’s degree course at the University of Florence I got passionate about the physics of volcanic eruptions and related hazard.

B.Sc. in Geological Sciences at the University of Chieti. Thesis title: “Studio dei flussi di CO2 in sistemi dunali costieri: Torre di Cerrano (TE)”.
Internship in INGV of Pisa: learning and application of numerical models for atmospheric dispersion of volcanic plumes during explosive eruptions to compile tephra fallout hazard maps.
M.Sc. in Geological Sciences and Technologies at the University of Florence. Thesis title: “Tephra fallout hazard assessment at Fuego volcano (Guatemala)”
Ph.D. Student in Earth Sciences at the University of Florence, 2022. Thesis Title: “Dynamics and hazard of phreatic eruptions”.
