He graduated in Scienze e Tecnologie Geologiche in April 2020 at the University of Florence. His master’s degree has been carried out in the Department of Earth Science at the University of Florence, under the supervision of Prof. Adele Bertini and Prof. Marcello Tropeano, on the sequence stratigraphy of Quaternary calcarenites along the Gravina di Matera.
In November 2020, he started a PhD program at the University of Bari Aldo Moro, Dipartimento di Scienze della Terra e Geoambientali under the supervision of Prof. Giuseppe Mastronuzzi, Prof. Massimo Moretti, and Prof. Adele Bertini. The project aims to reconstruct paleoenvironmental changes in the Mar Piccolo basin (Taranto, Southern Italy) through palynological analyses during the last 12.000 years.
His research activity is mainly focused on the stratigraphic analysis of dinocysts and other aquatic and terrestrial non-pollen palynomorphs (NPPs) to investigate environmental and climatic dynamics through time.
