Since 2020, the Department of Earth Sciences of the University of Studies of Florence has been participating in the Reframing Heritage Education in Egypt (Re-HeEd) project, funded by the ERASMUS+ program of the European Union (610234-EPP-1-2019-1-EG-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP). It also aims to introduce new technologies in the documentation, preservation, presentation and interpretation of Egyptian heritage collections.

For the University of Florence the project is currently followed by Emanuele Intrieri, William Frodella, Sandro Moretti and Veronica Tofani and previously also by Stefano Morelli and Federico Di Traglia.
